Mark Herzog has over 25 years executive leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical and clinical laboratory industries concentrating on global health security policy, defense acquisition, pharmaceutical commercial operations, government affairs, corporate and crisis communications, investor relations, and strategic planning. He served over a decade as the chief executive of the Virginia Biotechnology Association, where he was elected by his peers across the nation to serve as chairman of the Council of State Bioscience Associations, as well as over twelve years at Kaléo, a commercial stage pharmaceutical company, where he leads the Government Sector Business Unit.

Mark served as Chairman of the Virginia Board of Workforce Development, a member of the Board of Visitors of George Washington’s Mount Vernon, the Board of Directors of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Historic Richmond Foundation, the National Advisory Council of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation, and is currently a member of the Board of the Virginia Bioscience Foundation. He is also active in the CBRNE Industry Association and the Medical CBRN Defense Consortium where he serves as an elected member of the Executive Committee.

Mark earned his undergraduate degree in Government from the College of William and Mary and his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
